Air Kiribati Ltd is a one hundred per cent government owned entity with the Hon. Minister and the Secretary to the Ministry of Communication, Transport and Tourism Development the shareholders representing Government of Kiribati.

Air Kiribati is the national airline of the Republic of Kiribati. The airline was established 1^st April 1995 following the decommissioning of the former national flag carrier Air Tungaru which had been formed 31^st October 1977.

Air Kiribati is operating scheduled domestic flight services within the Kiribati Islands. It also operates charters, medical evacuation and search and rescue services.

Its principal office of business is at Bonriki International Airport. It employs 37 employees in various parts of the Kiribati Island group.

Air Kiribati has a fleet one CASA C-212-200 and one Harbin Y-12 II.

In September 2009 it reached an agreement to operate international services between Tarawa, Kiribati and Nadi, Fiji, providing a much needed competitive link between the two Countries. Our Airline will use B737-300 aircraft to provide the services to Air Kiribati.

Chairman of the Board of Directors is Tinian Reiher. Chief Executive Officer is Capt. Iosabata Namakin.
